On the Way...

As you walk along Pacific Street back to the Train Depot, imagine Rockaway's original residents constructing every possible type of lodging to keep up with the thousands of summer visitors.

Immediately North of Saint Mary's Church was the popular Jordan's Beach Front Cottages built in the 20's. In the 1950's, the cottages were relocated throughout town.

Ocean View Court was a significant lodging establishment in the early to mid 1900's. Ocean View Court provided tourists with convenience and comfort.

Lining Main Street were also cottages and boarding houses, along with storefront with rooms upstairs to rent.
