The 2023 Rockaway Beach Pirate Festival has been canceled.
Although our fundraiser over the holiday week was successful, an additional insurance requirement sought by our City’s insurance carrier would result in the Chamber going backward in funds for this event. We will allocate the funds we raised towards performances at our 2023 Art & Craft Fair!

This year the Rockaway Beach Chamber of Commerce Pirate Festival is featuring the pirate rabble of The Outrageous Fortune. The Outrageous Fortune was a ship full of scallywags who quickly learned that sailing was a lot harder than pirating and unintentionally grounded the ship. The crew that is What’s left of the Outrageous Fortune has deep roots in the pirate communities of the Pacific North West. Some of those roots reach back decades which you can tell by the smell. Boasting the largest collection of black powder firearms and cannons in the Pacific North West, this band of miscreants raid a variety of ports with their unique brand of living history showcasing the Golden Age of Piracy. At the Rockaway Beach Pirate Fest, you’ll get a chance to see the crew in action as they perform black powder demonstrations and other surprises. Be sure to stop by their encampment. Talk black powder, history, or bad puns. Challenge the crew to a game of skill. Or show your worth and become a member of the crew yourself!
